This one attracts me only because of the price, but if anyone would like to offer their insight regarding this models advantages/disadvantages, I would appreciate it.įinally, for such a low price tag ($1200 Australian), should I be a little wary? It does sound a bit cheap compared to what I normally see, and I know one can get what one pays for. The Second is a Selmar Bundy from USA (not sure what this means in terms of quality-Selmar Paris are the highest quality correct?) Vintage Buescher Nickel Tenor Saxophone (Secondhand) : The Music Place If someone could explain this, that would be great. The one I'm most interested in is the Buescher from 1919 (I have a love for history), but don't have any idea what effect nickel plating has on the sound, nor what the advantages/disadvantages of a G# Trill Key, lack of Front F Key, or E Vent Key are. That said, I have no experience with saxophones, and all the jargon surrounding make and build is confusing, so I was hoping for some help. In searching for my first horn, I've come across two second hand models that I like the look and feel of (one also shouldn't forget the price tag).
